Rubber perforated mats “MAFO”

The MAFO rubber-only perforated brick is an anti-vibration mount that can solve a range of vibration problems where traditional vibration dampers cannot be used.
With lateral holes that allow great flexibility, both vertically and longitudinally, it is able to absorb low frequencies.
Loads that can be supported range from 300 to 12000 daN.
The eigenfrequency varies from 3 to 10 Hz.
The fields of application are:

• Isolation of large machine tools rigidly anchored to concrete bases
• Power hammers and shearing machines
• Motor-pump units, portable compressors, electric fans
• Earthquake-resistant constructions and road bridges
• Isolation of laboratories built on reinforced concrete slab
• Floating roads on MAFO close to old town centres to protect them from the vibrations caused by traffic

MAFO and MAFO 2 are available in two different versions: the female-only T-type as shown in the drawing above, and the male-only T-type added for assembly in series of one brick on top of the other. This application, while maintaining the same load, reduces the system’s eigenfrequency.
